Alaka’i Technologies has designed an innovative passenger drone as part of the drone and air taxi program.
This drone flies on hydrogen fuel, the capacity of the tanks is from 200 to 400 liters of liquid hydrogen, which allows Skai to stay in the air for up to 5 hours, with the use of additional tanks, the time is doubled.
The maximum speed of Skai is 190 km/h. The total power of the engines is 100 kW, which allows you to cover a distance of up to 650 km.
The capacity of this aircraft is 5 people in an unmanned flight, and 4 passengers + 1 pilot in a manned flight. The universal aircraft can be operated both with and without a pilot. Like a helicopter, Skai has a vertical takeoff and landing. Accordingly, no special conditions are required for landing.
Like a regular helicopter, Skai can land on a helipad or determine the landing site visually from the air.
The manufacturer is concerned about flight safety. In case of engine failure, the glider has a parachute.
